It was our task during research week to create a wiki page.. sounded boring at first but to be honest it was interesting..
The group (Hannah, Becca, James and myself) succeeded in every page (apart from one!), creating information on Education of the past - 30 years ago.
Job prospects 30 years ago was the most difficult one.. as 30 years isn't that long ago and jobs we're roughly the same. None of us managed to gather any information on this. :( Technology has changed more than the jobs in the past 30 years..
We now just need to perfect it and make it look gooooood!

Research Week...
Last week was research week.. basically a week of reading and writing assignments. :( I completed Sian's assignment and made a start on Andy's. How fun!
I had numerous booklets to read too.. some of those we're irrelevant to the work, but hey ho!
I'm now beginning to prepare for my ICT project and Caroline's assignment to make a toy. :| Trying to get ideas for the ICT project is harder than i thought, it seems i'm a very boring person and have no interests! The very few i have seem like dead end ideas... :/
Hopefully creating a bubble will help me!

Reflective Learning
We have been researching the topic reflective learning recently in our ict lessons..
I now understand how important it is for me to have an outlook on how successful or unsuccessful I learn, balancing the pros and cons.
I know how effective reflective learning is and it's useful to be able to improve any item of work I may do or have.
Another way of reflective learning would be to use a diary, however you do need to update a diary every year were as a using a blog there's no need. ;)
I shall be using my blog every week so look and reflect on my learning throughout my time in university. :)

Group Presentation On Anorexia
The three members of Andreas Girls we're Hannah Martin, Andrew Colwill & myself.
We all chose a subject, our choices varied from food to Swansea.. in the end we chose Anorexia.. for some strange reason.
The three of us each chose an individual subject beneath the title of anorexia. We then discussed whose websites we're the best & in the end chose the one I had.
The task was to produce a group presentation on our chosen website.
to begin with, we used "easywhois" to check whether the website was reliable. To our suprise, it was. We then moved on to discuss the pros and cons of this website; the poor pictures was an issue & we all agreed that they wern't the best ones that could be used.
The other main issue was the fact that the whole website was a bit back-to-front, the detailed information was at the bottom of the page & thats the most important thing on the website, the start of the website is a bit vague & doesn't make sense.
There could have been a more personal touch with real life stories of individuals that had an experience of anorexia.
However, the website had been updated recently & this meant the information was correct and reliable.
We gave this website a 6/10.

Me, Myself & I..
From the start..
Been as the university is in Swansea, it wouldn't be financially possible for me to drive back and forth everyday plus i'd have to be up at stupid o'clock to arrive in time! so I now live in a shared house with 5 other first year students. I miss my family but i'm enjoying myself!
I have a pet dog, on my 16th birthday I had him as a gift from my parents. His name is Rory and he is now nearly 3! :)

My name is Jade Nicole Godwin, i'm 18 years of age & I was born on the 15th of January 1993 in the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport. I live in Cwmbran and I attended Ysgol Gymraeg Cwmbran. I then moved on to Ysgol Gyfun Gwynllyw. I am fluent in welsh as you can probably see from the school names..
I am now attending Swansea Metropolitan University & I am studying Educational Studies. I intend on getting a degree at the end of the 3 years. Hopefully then gaining a place on the PGCE course to become a primary school teacher as this is my intention. I would like to teach through the medium of welsh as I have a strong passion for the language. However, this is my plans but nothing is ever this straight forward!
